Digital radiography
Minimising the level of radiation
In our dental surgery we only use digital X-rays. Quicker diagnoses, a better communication with the referring colleague and – above all – a reduction of the radiation level for the patient by up to 90 % are decisive advantages. Moreover, this procedure does not involve any developing chemicals which harm the environment!
Radiography normally works with a film which is exposed to X-rays and has to be developed afterwards. Digital radiography, however, works with a special X-ray intensifying screen or an X-ray sensor instead, which depict the rays. The digital data are processed by computer and the picture is immediately displayed on the monitor for direct analysis.
